WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE MOVIE POSTER

When World Collide is a classic science fiction movie from the ’50s chronicling the final days of humanity as a star hurtled towards Earth and the hope for survival rests on an accompanying planetoid. I took my inspiration from classic scifi infographic and chalkboard schematic drawings. This 11×17 prints has fine detailed textures as well as intense asymmetry and dynamic movement through the planetary tracks, the space ark route and magnetic field lines.

It seems like every season, we are given a glimpse into the fantastic world of future science and technology on Fringe; arguably one of the best contemporary hard science fiction concept shows on television in a very long time. Inspired by the core concepts, mythologies, and scientific theorems, I have created a series of prints with enough inspiration material to least beyond the 13 available in my shop. Conceivably dozens could be created. Collect your favorite Fringe Science posters and show your friends and family that you believe in the future.

I love the idea of wirelessly networking human brains to be able to communicate with each other in an indistinguishable manner. That idea inspired the artwork for this print. That and of course the iconography closely associated with the honeycomb structure and the signals from wifi.

Inspired by the core concepts, mythologies, and scientific theorems, I have created a series of prints with enough inspiration material to least beyond the 6 presented here. Conceivable dozens could be created. For this print inspired by Dark Matter, I took the route of simplicity over high-concept and actually managed to meld the two into a high concept graphic with minimal pieces. Featuring an atom reversed out into negative color, essentially you create its opposite…dark matter!
